Elemental Origins
Elemental Arts is a collection of local artists, businesses and inspirers who work together to support and publicise our art and the local area.
Dreamt up one evening in May 2000 around a kitchen table in Ardfern; nurtured with tea, coffee, food and good humour the first seed was planted. The Elemental Arts group base their work in and around the community of Craignish, a stunning peninsula that juts into the inner sounds of the Atlantic Ocean on the West Coast of Scotland in Mid Argyll.
Ardfern & Craobh Haven Arts Festival
In the summer of 2001 Elemental Arts organised the first Ardfern & Craobh Haven Arts Festival. The festival took you on scenic walks between exhibitions of visual arts, shows of horsemanship, choruses and serenading. The nights belonged to traditional and contemporary poetry, piping, song and dance. There were eleven venues that exhibited the work of Scottish artists and fifteen diverse events over a fortnight that were acclaimed by both locals and visitors.
The Festival continues to grow each year and has a spectacular line-up for 2007.
